Start: Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens

vs. Oakland Raiders

Gus Edwards will be one of the hotter waiver wire picks ups for this week. He’s coming off a breakout performance and just might have earned a shot at seeing a ton of carries this week. However, this isn’t a vote of confidence moving forward.

Edwards happened to have his breakout performance a week before taking on the lowly Oakland Raiders.

Actually, the Ravens schedule the next couple of weeks sets up nicely for Edwards to find some continued success. He should be able to use this week’s matchup to get the ball rolling and finish the season on a high note.

Sit: Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

vs. San Francisco 49ers

Chris Godwin finds himself in a tough situation. He’s on a team that is loaded with offensive talent which is limiting his targets. The Tampa Buccaneers have to spread the ball between Godwin, Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, OJ Howard, Cameron Brate and Adam Humphries.

This is a good problem to have as a team, but when it comes to fantasy football it’s a nightmare. Godwin has the potential to be a top-flight fantasy wide receiver but can’t hit that potential with the sporadic targets he’s receiving.
