Start: Baltimore Ravens

vs. Oakland Raiders

The Baltimore Ravens defense is one of five teams that are allowing under 20 points per game. They are doing a great job of employing the bend don’t break strategy. This team isn’t creating a lot of turnovers, but has done a good job creating pressure.

Baltimore has a chance this week to add to their turnover total. The Oakland Raiders offensive attack is among the worst in the league. This is a team that is turning the ball over at a high rate with quarterback Derek Carr already throwing eight interceptions.

Look for the Ravens to try and rattle Carr and force him to make some errant throws. Oakland’s lack of offensive playmakers should allow them to employ some creative blitz packages.

Sit: Philadelphia Eagles

vs. New York Giants

Injuries have taken their toll on the Philadelphia Eagles entire defense. When healthy, this defense is among the most talented in the NFL. They have top-notch pass rushers, steady run defenders and high upside players in the secondary.

However, this unit is a shell of what we saw on opening day. The secondary has been ravaged by injuries with Philadelphia struggling to plug the holes.

Malcolm Jenkins is the only day-one starter who is healthy enough to take the field. The rest of the secondary consists of younger players who have proven to be mistake prone. These problems in the secondary why the Eagles defense should be avoiding in fantasy altogether.
