1. Peyton Barber, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. San Francisco 49ers

Consistency has been the biggest issue for Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber, who hadn’t been able to put together two strong back-to-back performances this season. In Week 6 against the soft Atlanta Falcons defense, Barber had 13 carries for 82 yards in a breakout game, but he stumbled to just 30 yards on 11 carries against an equally unimpressive Cleveland Browns defense.

It was the same story for Barber about a month later. After rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals, Barber had just 31 yards on 11 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9.

However, Barber had his best game of the season in Week 11 against the New York Giants, getting over the 100-yard hump for the first time this year on 18 carries, scoring just his second rushing touchdown of the year in the process. This came a week after a solid 13-carry, 61-yard effort against Washington.

Barber is locked in as the Buccaneers lead back ahead of the more touted Ronald Jones III, whom he had been in a back-and-forth battle with throughout the season. He’ll have a huge test in Week 12 against a San Francisco 49ers defense that, while still only average, is better than the soft matchups he’s eaten up (Atlanta, Cincinnati, and New York).
