Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway

Despite committing frustrating drops earlier in the season, Baker Mayfield’s confidence in young wide receiver Antonio Callaway never waned. Callaway rewarded Mayfield in Week 12 by going off against former head coach Hue Jackson and the Cincinnati Bengals, as Callaway delivered by far his most consistent performance of the season, hauling in four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown on five targets.

Callaway’s talent has never been called into question, and the Browns have consistently tried to get him involved deep. With Mayfield at quarterback and Callaway starting to find his mojo after an adjustment period, the second-half of the 2018 season could be his to own, especially since a few of those deep shots could start turning into huge completions for a suddenly-explosive Browns offense.

Next week, Callaway and the Browns will face the Houston Texans, and while Houston has talent in the defensive backfield, they will be prone to getting burned by a tall, fast wide receiver who finally looks like he’s playing with confidence.

The sky is the limit for Callaway with Mayfield clicking under center, and Callaway looks like a fun, high-upside play for fantasy football owners, especially if the red-zone targets keep coming.

An important caveat is that Mayfield is so good at spreading the ball around that it’s difficult to predict which Browns pass-catcher will have the biggest game. But at this point, Callaway looks like the wide receiver in this offense worth gambling on, and he’s honestly surpassed the overrated Jarvis Landry as the Browns best fantasy option at the wide receiver position.
