Riverdale season 3, episode 6 synopsis: Manhunter
This week on Riverdale, Betty dives deeper into her search for the Gargoyle King. But with her usual research partner not available, she is turning to an unlikely source for help: adults.
After a week off for Thanksgiving, Riverdale is back with a new episode. When last we visited the town controlled by a deadly role-playing game, Jughead had lost his mind after getting sucked into playing Gryphons and Gargoyles.
Even if his theory about season 3 of Riverdale all being part of the game is correct, he has left Betty to research the Gargoyle King all on her own. And she is turning to an unusual source for help, the actual adults in town. Specifically, all of the members of the Midnight Club.
Which makes sense because Veronica and Archie will be too busy dealing with the fallout from the prison break to participate in the Gryphons and Gargoyles storyline. But Veronica is letting Betty gather the parents in her speakeasy.
Here is the synopsis for the episode “Manhunter” from SpoilerTV.
After confronting the parents, who were part of “The Midnight Club” twenty-five years ago, Betty (Lili Reinhart) follows some strong leads in hopes of finding out who the true Gargoyle King is. Meanwhile, Veronica’s (Camila Mendes) attempt to prove Archie’s (KJ Apa) innocence lands her in hot water. Finally, Archie turns to Kevin (Casey Cott) for help making things right.
The gathering of the Midnight Club brings together the good and bad parents of Riverdale as Betty looks for more than her mother and FP’s side of the story. Penelope Blossom returns, last seen in season 2 getting kicked out of Thornhill with Claudius after sending Cheryl to conversion therapy. There will also be some new faces this episode as this episode should provide a look at both Dilton and Reggie’s fathers.
It seems from the promotional photos that the only Midnight Club member who will not make it to the meeting is Hiram. He is probably too angry about Archie’s escape to do anything else.
