DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Since the Miami Dolphins don’t have a quarterback with enough arm talent to take advantage of Kenny Stills’ game-breaking ability in the intermediate and deep regions of the field, DeVante Parker is starting to look like the best fantasy asset at the wide receiver in Miami.

Parker has largely been off the fantasy radar since a statement performance in Week 8, where he caught six passes for 134 yards a week after his agent called out Adam Gase for benching him due to a phantom injury.

Due to mounting injuries at the wide receiver position, the Dolphins didn’t trade Parker, but they didn’t make him a bigger part of their gameplan despite his huge Week 8. Parker has never caught 50 receiving yards in a single game since, but he did bag four receptions for 43 yards and his first touchdown of the season in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills.

Parker might be the best bet to score receiving touchdowns in this offense, and with Ryan Tannehill back, the Dolphins technically have an upgraded quarterback situation.

Danny Amendola was unable to play last week and may not be able to go in Week 14 against his former team, the New England Patriots, so that adds to Parker’s fantasy value. Parker isn’t a recommended addition in shallow leagues, but he’s worth a shot in the dark in deeper leagues, since he has shown signs of being the Dolphins most-targeted receiver in a running back-heavy offense.
