DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 5, 2018
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
Jrue Holiday (vs DAL – $9,100): Needs 41.4 fantasy points. Holiday had 71 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 3. He was in a bit of a slump prior to that game so hopefully, it was him turning the corner. The scoring and assists are typically there for him, but it’s the defense that really boosts his value. The matchup is good as the Mavericks are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, high ceiling.
Bradley Beal (at ATL – $8,400): Needs 37.5 fantasy points. Beal was at 54 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 3. It was the Knicks, but this is the Hawks. Washington’s offense should have no issue getting their points in this one. Beal’s value can be tied to his scoring too much, but his assist numbers have been up recently and any rebounding is a bonus. Diagnosis: Love Beal against the Hawks. Hopefully, Washington’s poor defense can keep Atlanta in it to make him worth your while.
Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $6,900): Needs 31 fantasy points. Butler has settled into his role as the third option on the Sixers and his salary has settled as a result. He’s reliable enough at this salary. But I really like him on Wednesday because of the matchup. These big games are when Butler likes to shine. And this is obviously a big game. Butler will provide some extra value in this one. Diagnosis: Trust Butler in big game situations. He’ll step up.
