High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Malcolm Brogdon (vs DET – $6,200): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. Brogdon’s salary has gone up because his play has been outstanding recently. This might be a bit too high, but I’ve been rolling with Brogdon for the majority of the season and he hasn’t let me down. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in five straight games. The Pistons are a solid matchup. Diagnosis: Salary is a bit higher than I’d like, but Brogdon is rolling in the Bucks offense and the matchup is good.

Lou Williams (at MEM – $5,500): Needs 25 fantasy points. I still don’t know how Williams was at $4,900 in his last game against the Pelicans. The Grizzlies are a tough matchup with their defense and Williams’ minutes are down, but this feels like a game where his minutes will be up. The Clippers are going to need instant offense and that’s Williams’ calling card. Diagnosis: Good salary and a high ceiling.

Reggie Jackson (at MIL – $5,100): Needs 23.2 fantasy points. Jackson was down to 16.25 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 3. Russell Westbrook decided to play defense, so that explains that one. Jackson was hot prior to that and has a good chance to regain his form. The Bucks are good, but their defense has struggled a bit this season and Jackson is at a good salary given what he’s capable of. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary. The matchup is good. Good ceiling.
