High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Otto Porter Jr (at ATL – $6,100): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. Porter Jr was at 34.75 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 3. He’s seemed to turn his season around, which has coincided with the Wizards turning the offense around. It’s also the Hawks. Aside from the Suns, the Hawks are one of the best teams in the league to take advantage of, even if you play for the Wizards. I wish the salary was a tad lower, but Porter Jr can deliver a big game. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, good ceiling.

Jeremy Lamb (at MIN – $5,900): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Lamb cooled off against the Pelicans, finishing with 25 fantasy points. Expect him to bounce back against the Timberwolves. He’s played very well during this stretch and one bad game isn’t going to write him off for me. He still gets plenty of minutes to produce and does more than just score. The matchup is tough, but he’s earned a little bit of trust. Diagnosis: Expect a bounce-back performance despite the tough matchup.

JJ Redick (at TOR – $5,200): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. Redick had 27.75 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 2. His minutes have been down a bit due to the Sixers blowing out teams. Redick never lacks for shots and I will always cape for him because of that. He’s an excellent shooter and any shooter who gets the looks he does is a calculated risk to take. The matchup is tough, but the shots will be there and he can chip in elsewhere. Diagnosis: A risk if he’s cold. But the ceiling is good and plenty of people will probably stay away given the matchup.
