High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Andrew Wiggins (at POR – $5,700): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Wiggin had 42.5 fantasy points against the Hornets on Dec. 5. And this is typically his matchup. He had 41.75 fantasy points against the Blazers on Nov. 16. The Blazers aren’t good against the position and the opportunities are typically there for Wiggins. For some reason he steps his game up against the Blazers and I’ll trust him to do the same in this one. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and high ceiling.

Justin Holiday (vs BOS – $5,500): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. I continue to love Holiday’s game. He had 35 fantasy points against the Thunder on Friday. And his salary has lowered, which helps. He’s been reliable during this stretch and shown a high ceiling. He can do a bit of everything, which helps his value. The matchup is tough, but I trust Holiday at this point. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs MIA – $5,000): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. After a couple of rough games, SAG bounced back with 31 fantasy points against the Grizzlies. That’s a good sign for his value given how good the Grizzlies defense is. SAG continues to get the minutes and the matchup is solid on Saturday as the Heat are on a back-to-back and on a west coast road trip. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary with a good ceiling.
