Players costing $6,250 or under

Malcolm Brogdon (vs CLE – $6,200): Needs 28.1 fantasy points. The only concern with Brogdon is that this is a blowout. But the Cavaliers have started to play a bit better as of late, so maybe they keep it competitive enough to where Brogdon gets the minutes. As long as George Hill isn’t in the lineup, take him with confidence. If Hill is active, I worry that his role will decrease. Diagnosis: Great matchup and reliable as long as Hill doesn’t play. Then he becomes a bit of a wildcard at this salary.

Lou Williams (at PHO – $5,500): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. Williams has been all over the place this season, but we know what he’s capable of. And it’s the Suns. The Clippers should have an easy time in this game, which is a bit concerning that this may be a blowout, but Williams is at a good enough salary to where he’ll get you value even in a blowout. You can also look towards SAG as a strong option. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling, and Suns.

Collin Sexton (at MIL – $4,900): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Sexton was up to 45.25 fantasy points against the Wizards on Dec. 8. It’s his team for the most part and, while he’s going to have his struggles, he’s also going to produce some big outings. The Bucks struggle against the position and they might be a bit too high after defeating the Raptors. Sexton is at a good salary to overdeliver if the Bucks don’t have that good energy. Diagnosis: Low-cost and reliable at this salary. Good ceiling and matchup.
