Dante Pettis, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Though George Kittle was the San Francisco 49ers pass-catcher with the jaw-dropping stats this week, Dante Pettis still managed to haul in another highlight-reel touchdown, this time dusting Isaac Yiadom on a textbook fade route for a one-yard score.

Pettis is now up to four touchdowns receptions in the past three weeks since emerging as the 49ers No. 1 wide receiver with Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin out.

A route-running technician despite his meager prior experience, Pettis has Wally Pipped both Garcon, a respected veteran who was once a leading receiver under Kyle Shanahan in Washington, and Goodwin, arguably the fastest player in the NFL.

Next week, Pettis and the 49ers will face a tough matchup in the Seattle Seahawks, but Pettis is more than game. After all, he had the best performance of his career in a blowout loss to the Seahakws just two weeks ago, toasting their secondary for 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five receptions.

Pettis has undeniably been one of fantasy football’s biggest breakout stars since Thanksgiving, and he should add a few more marquee performances before the 49ers forgettable-but-subtly-encouraging 2018 campaign is through.

Note that Pettis has scored 10 fantasy points in each of his last three games, including nearly 25 points in that aforementioned Week 13 bout against Seattle.
