DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 14, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,250
Joel Embiid (vs IND – $10,600): Needs 50.5 fantasy points. Embiid was up to 66.75 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 12. With Butler out of the lineup, Embiid will continue to post big scoring and rebounding games. The Pacers are a tough matchup, but I’m not concerned about the matchup for the Sixers and Embiid, especially with the way they play at home. Embiid will produce. Diagnosis: High ceiling and if Butler is out, you can take him with confidence.
Myles Turner (at PHI – $7,400): Needs 35.2 fantasy points. Turner has been fantastic in this recent stretch and was at 45.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 12. The minutes will be there against the Sixers and even though he’s been an inconsistent option throughout the year, he seems to have it right now. His bad game is very bad, but his good greats are great right now. Diagnosis: Love the matchup. A slight risk but that’s my own reservation.
Jusuf Nurkic (vs TOR – $6,700): Needs 31.9 fantasy points. Nurkic was down to 26 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 12. Don’t be too alarmed. The Grizzlies are very good defensively. The Raptors are weak against the position and Nurkic typically gets the minutes to produce. And it feels like the Raptors are just waiting for a bad game with their third game in four nights and a west coast road trip. Diagnosis: Love the matchup and his ceiling.
