DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 15, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Gordon Hayward (at DET – $5,700): Needs 26.4 fantasy points. Hayward had 29.75 fantasy points in 18 minutes against the Hawks on Friday. His minutes should be up in this one as the Pistons will test the Celtics. Maybe. It’s probably better to assume that Celtics are going to win every game by 15-plus points. Hayward has been solid since coming off the bench and if it’s close, he’ll deliver. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Justin Holiday (at SA – $5,300): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Holiday had 34.25 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 13. I continue to love his overall game and there’s no denying his minutes right now. He finds a way to make plays and he can do a bit of everything. The Spurs have looked better and the Bulls are the Bulls, but I trust Holiday at this salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Marvin Williams (vs LAL – $5,100): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Williams had 33.75 fantasy points against the Knicks on Friday. The matchup is good as the Lakers don’t perform well against frontcourt players and Williams can hurt them with his outside scoring and rebounding. He’s also at a good salary. The circumstances are worrying because the Hornet are on a back-to-back and went to OT. At least they didn’t have to travel. Diagnosis: Circumstances are rough, but everything else is good.
