DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 15, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Blake Griffin (vs BOS – $9,000): Needs 42.3 fantasy points. Griffin has been over 50 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He’s been hit-and-miss against the Celtics this season, but I’ll trust him to hit on Saturday. He always gets the minutes and he can put up numbers in all categories. The Celtics are rolling, but the Pistons have had some rest and the Celtics did have to travel on the back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Kyle Kuzma (at CHA – $7,800): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. Just expect 40 fantasy points from Kuzma at this point. His salary is going to continue to climb, but it’s just on the verge of him being overpriced. Right now, he’s still in the safe zone to where he remains a reliable option at the very least. The scoring is always there and he chips in in other categories on most nights. The matchup is good with the Hornets being on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable and a good matchup.
Rudy Gay (vs CHI – $6,400): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Gay had 39.5 fantasy points in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Dec. 13. Right now, he’s a better option than his teammate LaMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge might have a higher ceiling overall, but it’s not liked he’s showed it recently and Gay is at a much cheaper price. It’s the Bulls, so the scoring and rebounding numbers should be there. Diagnosis: Good salary, high ceiling, playing well, fairly reliable.
