High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Lonzo Ball (at WAS – $5,900): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Ball had a monster 58 fantasy point game against the Hornets on Friday. He’s been playing well, the minutes are always there, and he just finds a way to get numbers. He seems to always play well against the Wizards as well, going over 30 fantasy points in both games against them last season. Diagnosis: Proven matchup, playing well, high ceiling.

Fred VanVleet (at DEN – $5,200): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. VanVleet was up to 37.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 14. Kyle Lowry didn’t end up playing in that game, which boosted VanVleet’s value. But he’s been playing well since being inserted into the starting lineup so as long as he’s starting, you can take him with some confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Tim Frazier (vs MIA – $4,700): Needs 21.5 fantasy points. Frazier had 34.25 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 12 and has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s played well as a starter during this stretch and always gets the minutes to produce. The matchup is solid enough although the Heat can turn things into a slog. Diagnosis: Good salary, gets the minutes, and should be at least at value.
