Players costing $6,250 or under

Buddy Hield (at DAL – $6,100): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Hield has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. His value is largely tied to his scoring, which can be an issue if he’s cold, but he’s shooting the ball extremely well right now. And he does chip in with rebounds at the very least. The shots will be there, trust him to keep making them. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Danny Green (at DEN – $4,900): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Green had 40.25 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 14. The minutes are always there for Green. He’s inconsistent because he doesn’t do any one thing well, but he finds ways to chip in in all categories. He should play a big role in this game as the Raptors will need him to step up against a tough Nuggets team. If there are injuries, that’s better for Green’s value. Diagnosis: Reliable.

Monte Morris (vs TOR – $4,500): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. Morris has been over 30 fantasy points in three straight games. With all the injuries to the Nuggets perimeter players, Morris has stepped up in a big way.Until he slows down, there’s no reason not to take him. The salary remains good and he continues to get minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but he’s hot and shows no signs of slowing down.
