DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 16, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
LeBron James (at WAS – $10,900): Needs 50.6 fantasy points. LeBron had 63.5 fantasy points in 30 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday. Michael Jordan must have been courtside. He was even able to catch some rest, which is good on the back-to-back. He always brings it against the Wizards because the Wizards talk a lot. And now he’s probably mad that they acquired Trevor Ariza instead of the Lakers. Diagnosis: LeBron is angry. You’re gonna love LeBron on your team when he’s angry.
Kawhi Leonard (at DEN – $9,000): Needs 41.8 fantasy points. Leonard returned to the lineup against the Blazers on Dec. 14 and finished with 44 fantasy points. You more or less know what you’re getting from Kawhi. He’s going to get his scoring numbers and he’ll do a little bit in every category to boost his value. He’ll be around value at the very least, but expect more on Sunday. Diagnosis: Reliable, high ceiling. Feels like a big Kawhi game.
Kyle Kuzma (at WAS – $8,000): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. Kuzma finally slipped up on Saturday, finishing with just 23.75 fantasy points against the Hornets. He didn’t play his usual minutes in the blowout and other guys stepped up with their scoring. I’ll chalk it up to a good team effort and expect him to bounce back on Sunday. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back. No reason to write him off after one off game.
