DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 16, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Juancho Hernangomez (vs TOR – $5,100): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. Hernangomez had 28.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 14. He continues to play well in the starting role and has seen his opportunities increase with all the injuries to the Nuggets. He had 25.25 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 13. Even at this salary he’s reliable enough to at least hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling despite the tough matchup.
Jeff Green (vs LAL – $4,400): Needs 20.4 fantasy points. With the Wizards possibly being shorthanded, this is a big chance for Green to step up. He’s started in the last two games and was at 44 fantasy points two games ago against the Celtics. He’s Jeff Green, so I can understand if you don’t trust him. But the minutes and opportunities are going to be there. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward.
Dorian Finney-Smith (vs SAC – $3,700): Needs 17.2 fantasy points. Finney-Smith was down to 13.25 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 13. He had been playing well prior to that and I love his energy off the bench. That energy wasn’t there on the back-to-back, but expect it to return with a couple of days off and going up against a good Kings team. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back in this one.
