DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 16, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Harrison Barnes (vs SAC – $5,600): Needs 26 fantasy points. Barnes was down to 21.5 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 13. I’m not too concerned as the entire Mavericks team struggled in that one on the back-to-back. I’m more concerned with Barnes’ value being almost exclusively tied to his scoring. He should be able to get scoring numbers against this matchup, but if he’s cold, he’s not offering much. Diagnosis: Inconsistent and a bit of a risk, but a high ceiling.
Nemanja Bjelica (at DAL – $4,600): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. Bjelica has cooled off since his hot start thanks in large part to the return of Bogdanovic, but he did have 27.25 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 14. He can do a bit of everything and the minutes are decent enough. He should do enough in this game to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
Derrick Jones Jr (at NO – $3,900): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. Jones Jr. has been over 23 fantasy points in his last four games. He’s doing a little bit with his scoring, but he’s really making it happen with his rebounding. There should be plenty of rebounds to go around in this game and Jones Jr can sky above most. As a low-cost option, you could do worse. Diagnosis: Playing well, getting minutes and just makes plays.
