High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Clint Capela (at MIA – $8,000): Needs 38.2 fantasy points. Capela had 42.5 fantasy points against the Wizards on Wednesday. Him finding his game has been a big contributing factor to the Rockets turnaround. He struggled against the Heat last season, but this is a different Capela. Diagnosis: Reliable

DeAndre Jordan (at LAC – $7,400): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. Jordan has been reliable over the last three games. That’s a good sign because he’s typically all over the place. And now he gets a revenge game against the Clippers. He had 54.25 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 2. This will be his first game back at Staples. I expect him to deliver. Diagnosis: Love the revenge factor. Typically don’t like Jordan, but this is a rare exception.

Hassan Whiteside (vs HOU – $7,000): Needs 33.4 fantasy points. I don’t know what to make of Whiteside because his minutes aren’t that great, but he makes a good impact in those limited minutes. He played well against the Rockets last season, averaging 42.5 fantasy points in two games. That gives me some confidence heading into Thursday’s game. Diagnosis: Reliable.

High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Kelly Olynyk (vs HOU – $4,700): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. Olynyk was down to 16.5 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Dec. 16. He had been very good prior to that so I’m willing to chalk it up to an off night. Its long as he gets the minutes, he’ll have a bounce-back performance. Diagnosis: Trust the minutes to be there and for him to bounce back.
