High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (vs MIN – $6,100): Needs 28.4 fantasy points. A big reason why the Spurs have been rolling as been Rudy Gay. He’s been fantastic during this stretch. Again, I feel like this game is going to be a competitive game, which means Gay’s minutes and production should be up. He’s at a good salary given his known production. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling.

Robert Covington (at SA – $5,700): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Covington was up to 38.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 19. His salary is climbing a bit, but it’s still not high enough. He’s been great for the Timberwolves when the minutes have been there and the minutes are there right now. He’s looking more like himself after the injury and has been reliable with the Wolves. Diagnosis: Keep taking him at this salary. The minutes and production are there.

Jae Crowder (at POR – $5,000): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. Crowder was up to 40.75 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 19. He’s been inconsistent this season, but he typically gets the minutes against the right matchups. And the Blazers are a good matchup for him. And with the way he’s playing right now, he should continue to deliver. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, high ceiling.
