DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 22, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,250 or under
Brook Lopez (at MIA – $4,400): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. Alright, it might be time to cut bait with Lopez. The good news is he gets plenty of minutes on a good team. But he’s not shooting well right now and his rebounding numbers aren’t quite what you need. He’s at a good salary, which is the good news. And minutes do matter. Diagnosis: Cold, but minutes and chances are there. Still a risk because the salary is a tad too high.
Thomas Bryant (vs PHO – $4,100): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Bryant had 21.5 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 19. His minutes are all over the place, but maybe he gets extra run due to the matchup. And if Morris is out, his minutes should be up. If Morris plays, there’s not a great reason to roll with Bryant. Diagnosis: Reliable if Morris doesn’t end up playing.
Richaun Holmes (at WAS – $3,800): Needs 17.9 fantasy points. Holmes has tailed off a bit and his minutes are down, but the matchup is good on Saturday. And it’s rough at the value center position with all the injuries. If a guy like Morris or Ibaka plays, then they offer more upside. But if you want to punt on the position and hope for the best, Holmes at least has a little bit of value. Diagnosis: An option.
