Players costing over $6,250

Lauri Markkanen (at CLE – $7,300): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. Markkanen has been over 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s another guy where I love his game and he typically delivers. The Cavaliers are a great matchup because they are the Cavaliers. There’s not much to like from the Bulls as a team, but there’s plenty to like about Markkanen. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, very high ceiling.

Kyle Kuzma (vs MEM – $6,900): Needs 32.1 fantasy points. Kuzma has maybe cooled off a bit in the last three games, but his salary has settled into a nice spot and despite the Grizzlies being a tough matchup, it’s a good one for Kuzma. He’s been over 47 fantasy points in his last two games against the Grizzlies, including a 47.75 fantasy point effort against them on Dec. 8. Diagnosis: Proven matchup, reliable, very high ceiling.

Kevin Durant (vs LAC – $9,400): Needs 43.7 fantasy points. Durant had 58.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Saturday. When the Warriors are healthy, you typically know what you’re getting from Durant. He’s going to be at value at the very least and there’s always a chance he has a big game. He typically plays well against the Clippers and should be good for points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
