DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 23, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Jaren Jackson Jr. (at LAL – $5,800): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. Triple J has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games. Like a lot of Grizzlies fans, I’d like to see him get more minutes. And it seems like there is pressure to give him more minutes, which hopefully comes to fruition in this game. He’s a player who I think will raise his game playing in LA and he can do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but inconsistent due to lack of minutes.
Rodions Kurucs (vs PHO – $4,200): Needs 19.5 fantasy points. Kurucs was up to 33.75 fantasy points against the Pacers on Dec. 21. He’s getting strong minutes as a starter and the Suns, on a back-to-back, are a great matchup. He’s not reliable in any one category, but he’s doing well as a scorer and can chip in with rebounding. He’s a nice low-cost option who should get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup and ceiling.
Nemanja Bjelica (vs NO – $4,900): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Bjelica had 29 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 21. He was moved to the bench, which I think helps his value as he’s able to be the spark that Marvin Bagley was prior to him getting injured. The Pelicans bench is not good and Bjelica should be able to take advantage of them in a big way. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling and matchup.
