Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Jokic (at SA – $9,600): Needs 45.3 fantasy points. Jokic had 32 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 22 but was ejected after 21 minutes. Assuming his temper is under control in this one, he’ll have a bounce-back performance. He typically loves this matchup, going over 60 fantasy points in his last two games against the Spurs. And with Millsap out, he’s been delivering some big games. Diagnosis: Reliable and a very high ceiling.

Andre Drummond (vs WAS – $9,200): Needs 43.4 fantasy points. Drummond can be inconsistent, but this is a good matchup for him with Washington’s lack of size. He averaged 1.43 FPPM against the Wizards last season and Washington is somehow worse this season. Drummond should have no issue getting plenty of rebounds while chipping in with easy points in this game. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a high ceiling and I love this matchup for him.

Deandre Ayton (at ORL – $7,800): Needs 36.8 fantasy points. Ayton had 60.5 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 23. This is big because it was a night after the triple OT game. So the fact that Ayton could still put up those numbers is good for his value moving forward. Even better for his value is that he gets to go up against the Magic. I love the way he’s playing right now and I’ll continue to ride the hot hand. Diagnosis: Red hot and a very high ceiling.
