High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Domantas Sabonis (at ATL – $6,200): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. The minutes still aren’t quite there for Sabonis, but his production continues to be solid. And now he gets the Hawks. And a Hawks team that might be missing John Collins, which would help Sabonis’ case. Sabonis had 41.5 fantasy points against the Hawks on Nov. 17. He’ll get points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but minutes limit his reliability.

Jaren Jackson Jr (vs CLE – $5,800): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. Jackson finally saw his minutes rise and he was able to close the game against the Lakers. It led to 38.75 fantasy points. I love Triple J and if he’s going to continue to get minutes, he’ll continue to make a big impact. The matchup is good because the Cavaliers are bad. This should be easy pickings for Triple J. Diagnosis: High ceiling and reliable given the salary and matchup.

Trevor Ariza (at DET – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. Ariza was down to 15.5 fantasy points against the Pacers on Dec. 23. I’m not too concerned as it came after the triple OT game where he played 54 minutes. He’s had some rest now and should be back to form. And he’s played very well for the Wizards since being acquired. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
