High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Clint Capela (vs BOS – $7,700): Needs 36.3 fantasy points. I don’t know if Capela will grab 23 rebounds again, but it was a glimpse what he can do. If Harden doesn’t play, I’m not sure what to make of Capela. He relies a lot on the guard to spot him for easy baskets and Gordon and Rivers aren’t going to command the respect that Harden and Paul do. The rebounding opportunities will be there, but I’m not sure it’ll be enough to make him worth your while. Diagnosis: Reliable if Harden plays. Risky if Harden doesn’t play.

Rudy Gobert (vs PHI – $7,500): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. Gobert had a big 51.5 fantasy point game against the Blazers on Christmas. I don’t know if he’ll come up with seven blocks against the Sixers, but he’ll get big minutes in an effort to shut down Embiid. And points and rebounds typically aren’t an issue for him. He’ll do enough to get value in this game and there’s always a chance at more given his minutes and style. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at GS – $6,400): Needs 30.2 fantasy points. Nurkic didn’t ave a great Christmas, coming up with just 26 fantasy points against the Jazz. The matchup is better for him on Thursday because the Warriors have a lot of issues, especially at center. Nurkic should be able to come up with rebounds and points in this one to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a solid matchup.
