High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

DeAndre Jordan (at OKC – $6,100): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. I don’t know how Jordan snuck in under the salary line, but take advantage of it. He had 42.75 fantasy points against the Thunder on Sunday. The rebounding is rarely an issue for him and he gets easy enough points because of Luka. He can be inconsistent, but this is a great salary for him given his usual minutes and production. Diagnosis: Love him at this salary. Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (at HOU – $5,300): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. Triple J has seen his minutes and production dip, but he did have 30.25 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 15. I like him in this matchup because his defense does keep him on the floor and he’s just a guy who makes plays. Plus he’s at a good salary given his typical minutes. Diagnosis: A slight risk, but a good salary and ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at PHO – $3,700): Needs 17.3 fantasy points. Looney is nothing if not reliable right now. He gets the minutes and does just enough with his scoring and rebounding. Plus, it’s the Suns. They are better and they fight hard, but Looney should get enough easy points and rebounds to be a reliable option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
