No one was impressed with the first half of Super Bowl 53

Super Bowl LIII was supposed to be a shoot out. Instead, it’s turned into a snore fest, and Twitter is trashing this game in kind.

Super Bowl LIII was supposed to treat is to an old-fashioned offensive shootout.

Instead, it’s treated us to an unbelievable snore fest.

Can the biggest sporting event in the world get even more boring than the first half was? We hope not, but, as of now, we’re not holding our breath that this game will get any better.

How bad has Super Bowl LIII stunk up our television sets?

Both the Los Angeles Rams, who were supposed to have an unstoppable offense, and the New England Patriots, who have the greatest QB of all time (yea, I said it), have combined for just 252 yards of total offense, with New England having 90 percent of those yards.

This is not what we expected, and it may lead to many fans turning the tube off.

In fact, maybe it’s not too late to book those plane tickets to New Orleans. I mean, after all, they’re boycotting Super Bowl LIII by partying hard on Bourbon Street. So, maybe the joke is on all of us?

Crap.

Here’s a Twitter roundup of fans trashing this bore-fest, and, as always, my comments are in the parenthesis.

(This game is making me hate football)

(That really doesn’t sound to bad right about now, Patrick.)

(This game is definitely for you.)

(You know it’s bad when you would rather watch a Suns game. Or a Knicks game.)

(As it stands, Maroon 5 will be Super Bowl winners.)

(You are right, Maurice. Low-scoring football ins an unpopular opinion.)

(Dang it! Tony Romo had it right, yet again. Maybe we should have him predict the 2020 Elections?)
