Some Dodgers fans have a little less to grumble about next season after it’s announced that 10 games next season will air on KTLA.

Most of the Los Angeles and surrounding areas are unable to watch Dodgers games on television unless they have SportsNetLA a cable channel that isn’t offered to many residents. Next season that’s set to change — kind of.

On Wednesday Spectrum Networks (who houses SportsNetLA) announced that it would air a whole 10 games on KTLA. Cue Dodgers fans celebrating for about 30 seconds.

The Dodgers will play nearly 200 games next season so unblocking just 10 is kind of a slap in the face of a fan base who is known for their loyalty — especially considering the team is coming off their second back-to-back World Series defeat.

Switching to SportsNetLA isn’t an option for most fans who are only able to use the cable provider available in their region and due to the proximity to the stadium, the games are blacked out on MLB.com and other streaming services. So while 10 games aren’t that great … it is something.

The good news is that the games will be big rivalry showdowns like the April 2 game against division rivals the San Francisco Giants.

View the days and times for all 10 games here:

  • Tuesday, April 2, 7:10 p.m. vs. San Francisco Giants
  • Friday, April 12, 7:10 p.m vs. Milwaukee Brewers
  • Thursday, April 18, 5:10 p.m. vs. Milwaukee Brewers
  • Wednesday, April 24, 5:05 p.m. vs. Chicago Cubs
  • Saturday, April 27, 6:10 p.m. vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
  • Saturday, May 11, 6:10 p.m. vs. Washington Nationals
  • Monday, May 27, 5:10 p.m. vs. New York Mets
  • Thursday, May 30, 7:10 p.m. vs. New York Mets
  • Saturday, June 1, 7:10 p.m. vs. Philadelphia Phillies
  • Saturday, June 15, 6:10 p.m. vs. Chicago Cubs

There are also two games airing between the Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers who they defeated on their journey to the World Series.

The Dodgers season opener is March 28, 2019. They will face the Arizona Diamondbacks.
