39. Jared Cook, TE

Cook enters free agency as the best tight end to hit the open market. The 31-year-old is coming off his best of his 10 seasons in the league, with 68 receptions on 101 targets for 896 yards and six touchdowns. His efforts rewarded him with his first Pro Bowl berth.

Cook proved to be the favorite target for Oakland Raiders quarterback, Derek Carr, after all the team’s turnover at the wide receiver position. The knock on Cook is drops; accredited with nine, that ties him for the third-most in the NFL.

The Raiders would be wise to keep Cook and continue the success of the connection he has with Carr if he’s the quarterback they do opt to roll with going into next year. They should see competition from tight end-needy teams like the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, and perhaps the New England Patriots if Rob Gronkowski does decide to retire after Super Bowl 53.
