42. Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB

Fitzpatrick comes in at No. 42 after proving once again his ‘Fitzmagic’ peeks it’s head only when the quarterback makes spot-starts. The 36-year-old quarterback filled in for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ starter Jameis Winston during his suspension to begin the season, and posted incredible numbers, like throwing for 400-plus yards in his first three starts.

Fitzpatrick and Winston were a quarterback carousel throughout the 2018 season as both struggled in Dirk Koetter’s offense, which eventually led to the coach’s firing. Fitzpatrick ended the season throwing for 2,366 yards, 17 touchdowns to go along with 12 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 100.4.

The journeyman quarterback is entering his 16th season in the NFL but proved last season he can still be a quality backup and spot-starter for a team in need of one. The Washington Redskins could turn to him as they deal with Alex Smith’s leg injury for the foreseeable future; a team looking for a bridge quarterback like the Miami Dolphins could be in play.
