Dwayne Haskins took the field in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine on Saturday. So, how did one of the best quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft do?

After a standout 2018 season, Dwayne Haskins has become one of the top quarterback, and overall, prospects in the NFL Draft player pool. Per usual, there was a ton of buzz surrounding Saturday’s combine festivities as the signal-callers got to show scouts what they can do.

Haskins threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns last season while attending Ohio State. His stock rose at a high-rate in the latter part of the season.

Throwing, Haskins performed well, and he flashed that smooth motion. Like any prospect, some of his throws were a bit late and lofty. However, the ball was jumping out of his hand, he was on target with his slant routes and he had a quality deep ball.

So, how did he measure? According to NFL.com, Haskins weighed in at 231 pounds and measured out to be 6-feet 3-inches tall. His size is something scouts, and coaches will like, as he presents a large and durable frame.

As far as length goes, his arms measured out to 33 and a half inches long, and his hands were 9 and 5/8 inches. Again, reinforcing the size that the young quarterback presents.

Battling a leg cramps, Haskins participated in the 40-yard dash and vertical jump. Some may wince at his unofficial 40-time of 5.04 seconds. Although, that number isn’t that bad for a quarterback of his size who was also evidently working with cramps. His vertical jump result was 28.5 inches.

Haskins had himself a great combine. As said above, some of his throws could have been better, but that is expected with young gunslingers. His arm talent is the real deal, and his deep ball left New York Giants fans drooling over the idea of him throwing darts downfield to Odell Beckham Jr.

With Kyler Murray not participating, Haskins had a chance to steal the show and try to present why he’s the best quarterback on the board. While he didn’t necessarily do that, his stock probably rose a bit and put his talents on display.
