WWE 2K20 dropped a fun trailer to announce the new game edition with Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns on the cover.

Becky Lynch is making history again, appearing as the first female WWE Superstar to grace the cover of a WWE 2K game. The cover and game were announced on August 5 with a trailer that features a cocktail party where many of the WWE legends expected to be in the game were mingling. Lynch poetically “breaks the glass ceiling” and makes a grand entrance.

After a lot of speculation on who was going to grace the cover, 2K games decided to break the mold by adding two WWE Superstars this year. Roman Reigns, whose fight with leukemia last year captured the hearts of millions, also graces the cover.

Lynch spoke with Brian Mazique at Forbes about appearing on the cover.

"“The Man usually tries to keep her emotions under wraps, under control but I may have let out a girlish squeal when I found out. What a year, what a four years. When I just look back on my entire time on the roster when I got called up four years ago along with two of the Four Horsewomen, there was three of us I was called the most irrelevant of all the women in the revolution. To go from that to being the freaking resolution; to being the first woman to main event WrestleMania, the first woman to be on … not the first woman the first WWE Superstar to be on the cover of ESPN Magazine, and then to be on the cover of WWE 2K20 is just … what a way to cap it off.”"

2K also released a special gameplay details trailer starring Xavier Woods, detailing everything that’s coming for the game. For instance, this will also be the first time gamers will be able to guide their own female Superstar through the career mode. That trend continues with the introduction of the Mixed Match Challenge mode and the chance to play as The Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna.

WWE 2K20 is set for worldwide release on October 22, 2020.
