The English Premier League got underway last weekend and continues with another full slate of games on Saturday.  Welcome to my EPL DFS Breakdown where I have a complete analysis of the main slate.

It was awesome to see the EPL DFS back in action last weekend even though my Saturday picks weren’t so great.  Thankfully, my Sunday main slate article was full of winning plays thanks mostly to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Kasper Schmeichel, all of whom were featured in my breakdown.

This Saturday we have a firecracker of a match-up in the late game between Tottenham and Manchester City.  Manchester City have dominated this match-up since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, only losing once.

In those 6 uber-intense match-ups, the teams combined for an average of 3.0 goals per game.  Manchester City (-1.5) is the largest favorite on the slate even in his match-up, and the goal total is set at 3.0 (highest on the slate).  I expect this match-up to be the chalk.

Another team that will take a good chunk of the ownership Saturday is Liverpool (-1.5) against Southampton.  The goal total for this game is also 3.0.  Brighton (home against West Ham), Everton (home against Watford), and Norwich (home against Newcastle) are all favored by 0.5 currently.

None of these teams stick out to me as stack options, but exposure to them will be key to separate yourself on this slate.  The final game on the slate (Bournemouth @ Aston Villa) is expected to be very closely played, with a spread of 0.0 and a modest goal total of 2.5.

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter (@vdray5) where I drop little notes about the upcoming slates throughout the week all the way up to lock on Saturday morning.  With that out of the way, let’s jump into the plays!
