Fantasy Football 2019 – Top 10 – Ten

Dak Prescott

Prescott is currently being drafted as roughly the QB15, so he leapfrogs at least a few people who are ahead of him on the draft pecking order.

I’m not quite sure I get the hate with Prescott. He was the QB6 down the stretch last year once the team acquired Amari Cooper. He has proven an ability to win and to get the Cowboys into big games, and while his air attack isn’t stellar, it went up drastically enough after Cooper came in that I’m forecasting positive growth this year. 3000 passing yards and 25 scores is reasonable.

The real value for Prescott comes in the use of his legs. He got over 300 yards rushing yards last year, to accompany 6 rushing scores. In what has become a large trend for starting fantasy quarterbacks, rushing is king, and Prescott delivers that in spades.

ADP: 117.8

Value: 8.5

Verdict: Being drafted at the tail end of the 10th round, Prescott is a fantastic option that allows you to build stronger at other positions without sacrificing much, if anything, at QB.

Fantasy Football 2019 – Top 10 – Nine

Carson Wentz

Wentz had an interesting year last season. While he did miss five games and placed as low as QB15 in the 11 games he did play, he was more efficient than his absurd 2017 MVP season. This provides a mixed bag for Wentz, who has clearly shown he has the upside, while stick lacking a stable floor.

I’m projecting a good season for Wentz. Without Foles breathing down his neck, and a fantastic receiving corps around him, captained by Zach Ertz, Wentz has a lot of options and could become a high volume darling as the year progresses.

Don’t look for Wentz to get too many rushing yards, and I expect him to get particularly few red zone rushes considering his injury history. While his fantasy ceiling doesn’t compare with the top guys, his passing volume should provide a steady week to week floor, when he’s healthy.

ADP: 79

Value: 6

Verdict: Wentz is currently being drafted as the QB9 in most formats, having him right about where I think he belongs. You could do worse here, but you can probably do better too.
