Fantasy Football 2019 – Top 10 – Four/Three

Baker Mayfield/DeShaun Watson

I pondered over this decision for a very, very, very, VERY long time. My top two were settled from nearly the beginning, but this choice was by far the hardest. Let me break down the two candidates:

Baker Mayfield: Fresh off an electrifying rookie season, Baker must be smiling like a kid in a candy shop. He has potentially the best receiving corps in the league, thanks to catch-vacuum Jarvis Landry and newly acquired OBJ. Improvements on his impressive 14 game, 3700 yard, 27 TD and 14 INT season are to expected across the board. I don’t think 4500 yards and 40 TD’s are out of the question.

DeShaun Watson: On the other side of the coin, you get a safer option in DeShaun Watson, who, much like Mayfield, is an incredible young talent surrounded by an incredible amount of talent. Watson dealt with injuries last year, to both himself and his corps, yet still finished as the Qb4. A similar result could easily be expected, with a chance at the throne in reach.

ADP: 44/58 (Watson/Mayfield)

Value: 8/8.5

Verdict: While great value is there for both guys, Mayfield is a round lower, which is a fair trade for the added uncertainty. Both guys are solid options here.
