Wolves face Burnley at Molineux Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
In the final game of the season, Wolves host Burnley at Molineux Stadium on Sunday. The Wanderers settled for draws in their first two games of the season. Burnley won their first game of the season but were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal last weekend.
After a scoreless draw in their first game, Wolves were able to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw in the second game of the season. The Wanderers struggled to score goals last season and it looks like that trend is going to continue this season. Wolves scored the eighth-fewest goals in the Premier League last season. Had they scored more goals, the Wanderers might have finished in the top six.
Through two games, Wolves have scored only once. The Wanderers cannot afford for Raul Jimenez to get off to another slow start. Jimenez led Wolves with 13 goals last season but only scored three goals in the first 14 games.
Burnley defeated Southampton 3-0 in their first game of the season but lost 2-1 against Arsenal last weekend. Traditionally, Sean Dyche has been one of the most defensive managers in the Premier League but Dyche is starting to open up his team slightly more. Against Wolves, Burnley will look to frustrate them defensively and capitalize on one of their limited chances. Ashley Barnes has been on fire to start the season, scoring three goals in the first two games.
