A match that will have major implications in the AEW Tag Title Tournament sees The Best Friends taking on The Dark Order at AEW’s All Out on August 31.

The Best Friends have quickly endeared themselves to the AEW fanbase as both Trent and Chuck Taylor are beloved figures on the US independent scene. Fans were also quite happy to see The Best Friends pick up a win in their tag tournament qualifying match against Private Party and SoCal Uncensored, because it established that AEW had put aside a solid place in the tag division for the veteran team.

The Best Friends aren’t just looking for a win to move forward in the tournament, though. They are also looking for revenge.

The Dark Order, formerly known as The Super Smash Bros, made their AEW debut at Double or Nothing when they attacked both The Best Friends and the team of Angelico and Jack Evans. In a vicious assault, The Dark Order showed the world what could be expected of them moving forward. Stu Grayson and Evil Uno then went on to defeat the team of Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy and the established team of Angelico and Evans at Fight for the Fallen.

Now both teams have found themselves in a must-win situation at All Out. The winning team will receive a first-round bye in the tag tournament and will go into the tournament riding a huge wave of momentum.

The Dark Order need this win to continue their vicious raid of the tag division and after some negative reactions from the AEW fanbase, Grayson and Uno need this win to hopefully start to sway some supporters onto their side.

The Best Friends need this win to establish themselves as a formidable team in the division and regain some momentum they lost after being attacked by The Dark Order.

This match could possibly steal the show on a card full of exciting contests, given the emphasis AEW is putting on its tag division.
