DFS NFL Love, like, leave – Week 1

Wide Receiver

Love

Mike Evans (7.900 FD): With the hype around Godwin and Howard heading into the season, Mike Evans seems to be the forgotten man, even though he is by far the most impactful player on the team. People keep giving the Bruce Arians benefits out to every player except Evans, who, even if he gets a smaller target share should be as efficient as ever, if not more so. Sherman will likely not shadow Evans, and Godwin may actually see more of him. If this happens, Evans will feast on the weak secondary. Evans is my WR1 this week, and it isn’t even close.

Like

Cooper Kupp (6,800 FD): While this spot could easily have gone to Tyler Lockett, who I love as well at the same price, Kupp gets the slight nudge due to circumstances. On paper, Lockett gets the much easier matchup, but if that game is out of reach by halftime, he may not get much usage. On the other hand, Carolina was weak to tertiary receivers last year, and all reports on Kupp say he’s quicker and more explosive as ever. I’m preparing for a statement from Kupp in his first game back.

Leave

Chris Godwin (6,900 FD): If your someone who likes playing MME’s, having shares of Godwin is not a bad idea. The hype around him, however; maybe a little overblown, and with the amount his name has been thrown around, his ownership could creep into the majority quite quickly. I would rather use Kupp, Lockett, or even both in this price range. The upside is there for Godwin, but there is also more risk than people are acknowledging. Evans still is the target share king, and Howard figures to see an increase as well. Godwin may not be the revelation everyone is saying he is. Not for me this week.
