DFS NFL Love, like, leave – Week 1

Tight End

Love

Evan Engram (6,400 FD): After averaging 13 FPTS in the last 4 weeks of the 2018 season, Engram seems primed to take another step forward. The trade of Odell Beckham and the suspension of Golden Tate open a lot of targets, especially if Sheppard is limited in some way. He averaged 6 catches and 80 yards with a score against a very similar Cowboys offense last season. His upside is nearly unrivaled, and his floor should be nearly as safe as the top options while providing some salary relief.

Like

Hunter Henry (6,100 FD): Hunter Henry was about to have a big coming-out party in 2018. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL and missed the season. So what if he’s a year late to his own party? Henry figures to quickly become one of Rivers’ favorite targets, building a rapport much like Antonio Gates did. Henry is a great play in week 1 if you want to pivot off of Engram.

Leave

Zach Ertz (7,100 FD): Ertz was a target machine last season, after picking up 156 in 2018. He figures to see a hefty decline in that number, as the addition of DeSean Jackson and the ascendance of Dallas Goedert leave more mouths to feed. Ertz is still a solid play, but his upside and floor are now far more shaky with the expected hit to the target share.
