FanDuel NFL High Low – Thursday Week 1

Running Back

High

David Montgomery (12,500): The Bears rookie projects to see the lions share of the work in the now crowded Chicago backfield. The news that Tarik Cohen will have a smaller role in the offense this year only serves to help Montgomery, and talent like his can’t go underused.

Verdict: HIGH – As an RB, value should be easier to attain for a potential bell-cow like Montgomery than a stud WR like Adams. The ability to be used in the passing game and running game gives two avenues of production.

Low

Mike Davis (7,500): Davis was brought in as if he was going to have a solid pass-catching role, but the more the preseason went on, the more of an afterthought he was. Behind David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen, Davis may get very little work, and a pathway to value is hard to see.

Verdict: LOW – Over 10 points for someone without a definitive role in the offense? No thanks, next.
