Top-Tier Forwards/Midfielders

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal @ Watford, $22) – It doesn’t take much research on this slate to see that this play should be a no-brainer.  On Friday, Arsenal announced that they would be without Alexandre Lacazette ($20) for several weeks due to injury.  Arsenal already relied heavily on Aubameyang to do a lot of scoring, and now they will need him even more.  Aubameyang has scored in all but one of the games this year (he did not score in a tough matchup at Liverpool).  He also gets a great matchup this week against a poor Watford defense.  Watford have given up three goals in a game twice this year, and they have zero shutouts.  Without any other true studs on the slate, Aubameyang should be in your lineup.  Nicolas Pepe ($17) has shown a nice floor in his first three EPL games mostly through chances created and shots on goal.  I don’t love the price here, but on small slates, don’t be afraid to pay for safe points.

Callum Wilson (Everton @ Bournemouth, $18) – Wilson burned me in the first two weeks of the season, but now that he has his first goal of the season, I feel more comfortable using him.  This isn’t the best matchup for Wilson as Everton have improved their defense from last season, but on a slate this small, there’s merit in using Wilson.  He has the best odds to score in this game at +125, which is only second to Aubameyang on the whole slate.  Another thing I like about Wilson is that he’s a forward that doesn’t solely rely on goals because he will get you some peripherals.  This gives him a safer floor than a guy like Gerard Deulofeu ($17) or Andre Gray ($14).

Richarlison (Everton @ Bournemouth, $17) – It’s difficult for me to use Gylfi Sigurdsson ($19) at that outrageous price until he actually strings together more than one good game.  However, I do want some exposure to Everton’s attack given the fact that Bournemouth are giving up two goals per game right now.  Richarlison scored a brace last game in a tough matchup against Wolves, and he has Everton’s best odds to score (+150) in this game.  I’m worried that people will see his last performance and jump on him in this plus matchup, so I don’t mind using Moise Kean ($14) instead who is just behind Richarlison at +165 to score.
