EPL DFS Breakdown – Sunday 9/15/2019

Mid-Tier and Value Forwards/Midfielders
Dani Ceballos (Arsenal @ Watford, $15) – Here’s where you notice that the one team, I think you can stack on Sunday is Arsenal. I think a lineup with even exposure to both games will be popular, so you could get an Arsenal stack at low ownership against this last place Watford team. Ceballos had a great first EPL start against Burnley with two assists at 30.6 total fantasy points. Arsenal’s next two matchups were very tough, so Ceballos didn’t have great games. However, that helped lower his price to $15 when he’s in a great matchup. I’m hoping people get their Arsenal exposure from Aubameyang and/or Pepe and forget about Ceballos. This is a matchup where he can do damage like he did against Burnley and score well over his price point. Fire Ceballos up in an Arsenal stack or use him as a Pepe fade and a way to save $2.
Harry Wilson (Everton @ Bournemouth, $15) – Lots of people, both fantasy and non-fantasy individuals, are hyped about this young talent. He’s a spectacular shooter, especially from distance or on free kicks, and we’ve already seen him score two goals this year. Bournemouth are a better home team so I could see him getting involved again. He’s definitely worth rostering if you want some Bournemouth players, but can’t afford Wilson. Josh King ($14) is $1 cheaper and has better odds to score at +200 than Harry Wilson. King also takes some PKs which adds to his appeal. As much as I think it can be fun to play Bournemouth attackers, I would limit exposure to one (two at an absolute maximum) because this matchup isn’t great.
Abdoulaye Doucoure (Arsenal @ Watford, $13) – Good thing there aren’t a ton of studs to get on this slate, because there is a massive lack of value you would need to get multiple high-priced guys. In his Watford career, Doucoure has scored a goal in about every seven games which isn’t too bad for a high-motor defensive guy. Arsenal’s defense is far from great, which is probably why the spread is only 0.5. Doucoure could find himself in some spots to expose Arsenal’s defense at home. He also collects defensive peripherals at a solid rate. Arsenal will do most of the attacking in this game which should bode well for his floor. Roberto Pereyra ($9) is available for pretty cheap on this slate considering he has Watford’s second best odds to score (+275). He was a solid scorer last season but is off to a rough start this year like much of Watford.
Philip Billing (Everton @ Bournemouth, $11) – Billing had a great first game with 24 fantasy points solely off peripherals, and I was hopeful that he would be able to continue that this season, but that has not been the case. His production has dropped off by about 50%, but he has been in double digits three times. This is a good, but not great, matchup for Billing to get enough peripherals to produce another double digit game. If he gets me double digits and helps me get the studs I want on a small slate, that’s about all I can ask.
