Mid-Tier Attackers

Willian (Chelsea @ Watford, $17) – Willian is getting a little on the expensive end, but you can’t completely ignore him anymore.  He’s averaging 29.3 fantasy points in his last 4 EPL games.  He has 3 straight games with 3 chances created, and Watford have been allowing tons of chances.  Because of this I think Willian’s ability to create chances and his defensive peripherals give him a good floor Saturday.  He also has 2 goals and 2 assists in that 4-game stretch.  Expect him to continue his bright run at low ownership.

Mason Mount’s ($18) fantasy play has been dropping consistently over the last month enough where I don’t have much interest.

I expect Christian Pulisic ($16) to draw some extra attention on this slate with his hat trick last week, but I need to see some more consistency before paying that much for him.

Neal Maupay (Norwich @ Brighton, $16) – The Maupay play worked out well for me last week.  He didn’t play especially well, but his PK goal helped him reach 27.3 fantasy points.  He has 2 goals in 3 games and his peripherals (mostly chances created and shots on goal) are up.  Maupay draws an elite matchup for any striker at home against Norwich who are giving up 2.0 goals per game in their away games.

Maupay and other Brighton attackers like Leandro Trossard ($13) and Davy Propper ($13) will go under-owned again this week especially in a plus matchup.

Andriy Yarmolenko (Newcastle @ West Ham, $14) – There are a few really good matchups for mid-tier guys that will go low-owned when a lot of the top-tier studs don’t have the greatest matchups on paper.  Newcastle’s home defense is stout, but that is not the case on the road.  They’re allowing 2.4 goals per game away from home this season.  Yarmolenko is a risky play because of his very low floor, but he has shown solid goal scoring ability with West Ham.  He makes the most sense of the West Ham attackers when considering price.

Sebastien Haller ($18) has a marginally higher floor but not enough to get me to pay $4 more for him.  However, he does have more shot/goal upside.

I’d rather stick with Yarmolenko or even Felipe Anderson ($13) as value guys to fill out my lineup.
