Monday Night Football presents the DFS/FanDuel community with a clash of NFC teams! Let’s take a look at this game from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player selections let’s briefly discuss the rules for the single game contest and look at the key DFS injuries for Monday night’s game.

The rules for the FanDuel single game contest are rather simple. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your lineup’s MVP. The MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard Fanduel point value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel point value. Having stated that, it is highly important that you select the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the single game contest I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Key DFS Injuries

Green Bay Packers: None.

Minnesota Vikings: OUT: Dalvin Cook, RB: QUESTIONABLE: Alexander Mattison, RB.

Here are my player selections for the FanDuel single game contest.

MVP-DaVante Adams $14,500

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers loves to throw the football to Adams. More specifically, Rodgers has targeted DaVante Adams a whopping 106 times through 14 games of the 2019 season. Additionally, Aaron Rodgers targets Adams often in the red zone. How often you may ask? Rodgers has targeted Adams a total of 18 times this season. As a matter of fact, only eight players in the NFL have been targeted in the red zone more than Adams.

Due to the fact that the Packers played the Vikings earlier this season, I was able to get some clear data to show if Adams could perform against this Minnesota Vikings defense. Well, the data certainly shows that Adams can perform at a high level against this Vikings defense. In the Packers week two victory over the Vikings, Adams had seven receptions and 106 receiving yards.

Flex Plays

Aaron Jones $14,000

It appears that Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is finally recognizing that getting Aaron Jones more offensive touches is a very smart thing to do. An example of how the Packers have been focusing on getting Jones the football more can be seen in Green Bay’s last two games. In the Packers last two games, Aaron Jones has 185 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

It should also be noted that the Packers have been working on getting the ball to Jones as a receiver as well. In the Packers last three games, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has targeted Jones 13 times. In that same three game span, Jones has 10 receptions and 71 receiving yards.

Stefon Diggs $12,500

Yes, I am aware that Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen recently returned to the Vikings lineup after being out several games due to injury. I think Thielen’s return to the lineup will not have an adverse effect on Stefon Diggs fantasy production. Why do I say that? Well, in Thielen’s return to the lineup last week, he did not look to be fully healthy yet. Thielen was limited to only a small number of snaps in that game.

Additionally, I like the fact that Diggs has shown that he can perform at a high level this season. So far in the 2019 season, Diggs has a total of 61 receptions and six receiving touchdowns.

Mike Boone $12,000

I noted earlier in this article that the Minnesota Vikings currently have multiple injuries at the running back position. Due to those injuries at the running back position, Mike Boone is expected to assume the starting running back role on Monday night. I fully expect that Boone can seize his opportunity and perform at a high level in this game.

The Green Bay Packers have struggled to stop the run all season. To be more specific, the Packers currently rank 25th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (120.9).

Kyle Rudolph $7,000

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins clearly loves to target to tight end Kyle Rudolph in the red zone. Rudolph currently leads all Vikings receivers in red zone targets with 12. Those 12 attempts in the red zone have resulted in eight touchdown receptions for Rudolph. I would not be at all surprised if Rudolph had multiple receptions and a receiving touchdown on Monday night.
