Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on January 27 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

7 p.m. ET: Cleveland at Detroit
7:30 p.m. ET: Orlanda at Miami
8 p.m. ET: San Antonio at Chicago, Sacramento at Minnesota, Dallas at Oklahoma City
9 p.m. ET: Houston at Utah

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

First off, this is a tough slate to do. For all I know, by the time this is published, the games will be canceled. You can’t properly quantify the impact Kobe Bryant‘s passing has on these players. Some are going to take it harder than others and their mind just might not be in the game. I’m going to write as if things are normal, but we all know they are not. RIP Kobe.

Studs

Andre Drummond (vs CLE – $9,600 on DK; $10,500 on FD): The Cavaliers are weak against the position and Drummond is always a high number double double threat. Drummond should have no issue getting his points and rebounds in this matchup, ending up as the top scorer on the night despite not being the highest salary.

Karl-Anthony Towns (vs SAC – $10,300 on DK; $10,400 on FD): Towns looked more like himself in the game against the Thunder. And now he has another great matchup against the Kings. He’s another double-double threat though his ceiling may not be as high due to the matchup. Still, this should be an easy night for Towns.

LaMarcus Aldridge (at CHI – $7,200 on DK; $8,000 on FD): Aldridge didn’t look good against the Raptors and its a back-to-back. The Bulls are an easier matchup as I believe DeRozan will have a tougher time in this game. He’s a double double threat and I expect him to be a bit more aggressive going into this game.

De’Aaron Fox (at MIN – $8,100 on DK; $7,700 on FD): Fox has played consistent basketball as of late, though his minutes have been a bit all over the place. Hield moving to the bench does put the ball in his hands a bit more, which can be good for his value. The Timberwolves are not a good team, especially defensively.

Donovan Mitchell (vs HOU – $7,900 on DK; $7,600 on FD): Speaking of bad defenses. The Rockets are going to be without their two stars and that’s definitely going to hurt them on both ends because they can’t control the pace quite as much. The Jazz are rolling and Mitchell will be able to take advantage of a shorthanded Rockets squad.
