Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on February 2 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

2 p.m. ET: New Orleans at Houston, Phoenix at Milwaukee
3 p.m. ET: Chicago at Toronto

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs PHO – $11,000 on DK; $11,600 on FD): I’m assuming Giannis is going to play. If he doesn’t play, then go with Middleton or Bledsoe because they should be in for a big night given the matchup. But Giannis is guaranteed value against a weak Suns team and an easy player to build around.

Pascal Siakam (vs CHI – $9,100 on DK; $8,500 on FD): The Bulls are weak against the position and Siakam is guaranteed value with a high ceiling given the matchup. The scoring will be there and he’ll chip in with enough numbers elsewhere to get you what you need. I think he offers more value than Westbrook on this night.

Brandon Ingram (at HOU – $7,100 on DK; $7,700 on FD): Ingram always seems to deliver against the Rockets. And right now I can’t figure out the Rockets, but the lack of Capela certainly hurts them. The Pelicans are still adjusting but Ingram never lacks for shots. I like his ceiling more the Holiday in this one.

Kelly Oubre Jr. (at MIL – $6,400 on DK; $6,800 on FD): Oubre Jr. is at a nice salary given everything he brings to the table. He’s not going to hurt you at this price and the ceiling is high given that he can do a bit of everything. The Bucks are a tough matchup but trust the price in this one.
