With the Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl 54 over the San Francisco 49ers, no doubt The Power and Light District in Kansas City erupted triumphantly.

It was an incredible season for the Kansas City Chiefs. For the first time in 50 years, not only did Kansas City make it to the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs won the thing! Long snakebitten as an AFC franchise, the Chiefs overcame a deficit and defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54.

It was a tremendous scene at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, but what happened at the Power and Light District back home was just about as spectacular. Not every member of Chiefs Kingdom got to make the trek to South Florida for this year’s Super Bowl. Naturally, the next best place to watch this unforgettable game was back home in the Power and Light District.

This area of Kansas City had recently been showcased in championship glory when the Kansas City Royals went on their two World Series runs in the mid-2010s, winning the 2015 Fall Classic over the New York Mets. The Royals are awesome, but everybody knows this is a Chiefs town. How sure are we that the Power and Light District is going to survive the night?

Of course, every member of Chiefs Kingdom is going to party like they’ve never partied before. Why go to work tomorrow? That’s dumb. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl and you can always get another job. You’re better off staying up, partying and get ready for that parade in 48 hours. It’s going to be epic, life-changing and the greatest thing ever.

The last time the Chiefs won a Super Bowl, we just got done going to the moon for the first time. Woodstock was only months ago. It was all about peace, love and Chiefs. Now, it’s about Patrick Mahomes becoming a 24-year-old GOAT and Andy Reid becoming a magnificent 61-year-old champion. Those locks and that mustache are going to look dope on bronze Canton busts.
